Well I can honestly say Judge Geary has really dropped lower than the belly of a snake in a wagon’s rut in my opinion – not that he was that high up anyway. What a crock!
I was impressed when he said, “…My general sentencing philosophy is to look to the lowest number of the standard sentencing range as a starting point,” Geary said. From there, if circumstances present themselves, he may choose a sentence of more years if appropriate…”
Yes that is the judge we all know and wonder about! He gave this murderer and lying POS a slap on the wrist at best! This man not only murdered his wife – a mom, sister, loved one, and daughter – buried her under his home, and LIED to any and everyone about it! I guess since Ms Cora wasn’t the judge’s mama, sister, wife, daughter, or friend she just didn’t deserve true justice! I wonder if he will have him out in 1 ½ years to murder again?
Is there a judge in Somerset County who believes in justice or just going by the least amount of sentencing?
Then he “assumes” that DA Jeffrey Thomas made the plea deal. Really, a man who has not been in office in 6 months? And is the “judge” saying he has set on this plea deal all this time? And yet he himself never talked to the family to even ask if which DA and if they were informed? Notice he doesn’t “assume” enough to give a date when the deal was reached now does he? Because he knows damn good and well who made the plea deal.

Now everyone knows our court system wanted Thomas out. I mean he was thrown out of the courthouse when he only went back to the office to retrieve personal belongings taking a leave of absence – yet the court acted like he was trying to handle cases. We should also note since Thomas left our county drug busts have dropped drastically! We were made aware of drug traffic in the courthouse by drug users and I find it hard to believe one commissioner was blind to the drugs there. But that’s just me and some others opinions. And when she lost her re-election (Thank you Jesus) she went through and made lots of plea deals before Thomas came into office. And none were what they should have been. Thomas’ hands were tied and she did it to revenge her loss. Because most people just listen and believe! LOOK at his history with sentencing – he is “ole halfway in-between geary. And I believe he is using this woman’s horrible death to still go after Thomas…I guess money was being lost somewhere huh?
However, the judge gave some really lame sentences to a whole lot of DESPICABLE, EVIL people without blinking an eye in my opinion.
So is this the county court trying to blacken Thomas’ name and reputation because the case the state has against him isn’t looking too good?
This judge has no desire to see evilness punished or justice served. Maybe he should try putting him or his family in the situation in his mind, how would he feel? Would he like being told that if HE was the person affected?

He should be ashamed of himself. And once again I really wish this county court and its employees/staff/members get investigated.
Who knows maybe one day we will have judges who know the laws and will give judgments and sentences befitting the crimes. Until then I really feel for Ms. Cora’s family. They got shafted by the organization that should have been there for them – NOT for the guilty party!
