So on February 7th, The Daily American reported on the Zachary David Maust meth lab explosion case and I was quite surprised at the information FINALLY told in said article.

And pay attention to the points I make to see how people are trying to manipulate information and the end result is they will do anything to get DA Jeff Thomas out of office and out of politics. Why? Because the courthouse is corrupt with the drug trade, in my opinion and so many more.
Now let’s connect some dots as they say.
For the FIRST time since ole ousted EX POS District Attorney Lisa Lazzari-Strasiser has been out of office the paper FINALLY let readers know JUST WHO made the plea deal for such a ridiculous sentence for BLOWING up a garage while manufacturing drugs. Now if we look back on other posts I have done (listed at the end of this post) you will see how she ALWAYS gave druggies a break. When she realized the gig was up with the voters of Somerset County, I am of the opinion she was infuriated and she used her to time in office to make some pretty stupid plea deals, being even better for the criminals than she had ALWAYS done in the past! And just to get back at DA Jeff Thomas and the rest of us for firing her worthless self. Deals that really encouraged criminals and then she moved on. Those deals DA Thomas had to uphold and the Daily American never ONCE told that. They knew but I guess orders came from somewhere higher up around here. The courthouse from top to bottom powers to be wanted DA Thomas out, and have done everything they could to bring it about…but the game isn’t over yet, is it?
So now the powers to be in the courthouse has gotten little carlie’s wife to run for in the next election for District Attorney. Now the courthouse couldn’t have anyone thinking that Metzgar had anything to do with said sentence, so now the truth gets put out…do these ignorant people think we are stupid? Their children aren’t being killed by drugs, and neither are they (some are addicted themselves) and their actions are PROVING our loved ones are not their concern. So we will start with the insane plea deal that not even the judge questioned and to be honest that surprised me, I really thought he was cut from a different cloth, a step above. But it DOES shows you just how infuriated the ole ousted, POS EX DA was to drop 96 Counts of varying illegal drug activity, wasting taxpayer’s monies, court time, and ALL the police and investigators time and energy. Or maybe she had another reason too?
“Zachary David Maust, 36, of Berlin, was placed on 60 months probation with nine months on electronic monitor for one count of operating a meth lab at his sentencing earlier this week…”
“…He told police he was attempting to cook the synthetic drug in a hard 18-ounce bottle when it exploded in his father’s garage. Police then went to his father’s house and found a suspected meth lab and items used in making meth still smoldering from the explosion, according to court documents…” And I will say right up front, he was honest and owned up to it!
However, the idiot put his own father in danger! That’s love and respect isn’t it! Plus were there neighbor’s close?
“…According to acting District Attorney Molly Metzgar, who was not at the helm of the office until 2021 that when she got the case the information only listed one count of operating a meth lab as charged. After the preliminary hearing, the district attorney’s office fills out a formal document called an “information.” The information lists the offenses charged against the defendant. At this stage, the district attorney may add or delete charges or if the district attorney feels that there is not enough evidence to get a conviction, the district attorney may end the prosecution by not filing an information. According to court documents, 96 charges of operating a meth lab were withdrawn by the district attorney’s office…”
We ALL KNOW she dropped charges on the worst criminals and not too many of those who should care plus the ones who were required to care did. Most because they are involved in drugs, like pot and speed who are afraid of losing their high or getting caught – OH the embarrassment! If you are too ashamed to admit the truth, then why do it? And yes I did drugs in my past – just pot, speed, one time hashish (thought it was nasty) and LSD. I never shot NOTHING up – needles freaking hurt! But I never lied if someone asked including police, I just told them yes. I never drove drunk, stoned, or impaired ever. If you can’t own up to it don’t do it.
But the judge DID make him pay fines and restitution. The fines should have been a LOT more!
“…At his sentencing, Maust was also ordered by Judge Scott Bittner to pay for the cost of prosecution and supervision, a $400 fine and $4,807.94 in restitution.”
In closing am I glad the paper FINALLY reported the plea deals? You best believe I am. However it was NOT little carlie’s wife who has been seriously taking down drug dealers and sources. But now the corrupt side of our county want to keep her in office because she isn’t really making waves. How do we know, drugs are back. Just recently I heard of 3 bigger dealers have moved back to the county because in my opinion they 1) were reached out to and 2) are no longer concerned with getting caught.
Next thing you know we will be known AGAIN as Somerset County, Pa where drugs are flowing just fine.
We need to STOP the DRUGS and CORRUPTION in this county! Not only do we deserve better our future generations do even more so!
